Post-Op: Day 6

Today Marlon was discharged from the hospital! Wilmer, Juana and I found the highlight of the day actually leaving the hospital. Marlon's favorite part of the day, however, was when he got the urinary catheter removed. I wish I would have had his reaction on film. The nurse took out the catheter and he actually clapped and screamed (a joyful scream)... he looked like a kid on Christmas morning!

The doctor requested that Marlon stay in Tegucigalpa until tomorrow to make sure that he is urinating ok, now that the catheter is out. So Baxter Institute, here in Tegucigalpa, has put the Herrera family up tonight in one of their empty appartments. After I got them all settled I headed to Hiper Paiz (Honduras' version of Walmart) picked up some essentials and dinner and when I returned Marlon had a fever. It's a low grade fever, but still... It makes a girl nervous... you know?

Please, please keep Marlon in your prayers tonight as he heals. Please pray that his fever disappears and that it doesn't indicated some underlying infection. Thanks for your continued support!
