Post-Op: Day 1

Well, Marlon made it through his first post-op day. He had a good morning, but started to get tired this afternoon and then the pain kicked in after he had his surgical site cleaned. The poor guy cried for 3 hours straight! Finally he tuckered out and got a 45 minute nap before the nurse accidentally woke him up. This evening he was smiling again. After Marlon ate a good dinner we enjoyed coloring in his coloring book and pretending to crash my fake car with his real one.

This morning the doctor told me that he thought Marlon would need to stay in the hospital until Monday. This evening I went to dinner with a group that is in town from ACU and apparently the doctor came back by and changed his mind. It seems that Marlon may get discharged tomorrow! So stay tuned to find out whether Marlon stays or goes...

PS I got to see Marlon's scar today... its pretty gnarly!
