As I was driving very s-l-o-w-l-y to work this morning I began to think about all the things I wouldn't miss...
I won't miss...
the intense traffic!
But I will miss... the fabulous view!
I won't miss... scraping my windshield every single stinking morning!
But I will miss...
wearing cozy sweaters!
Though, I think I would gladly give up cozy sweaters to actually be warm all the time... and to see the sun. You don't really see the sun very often in Seattle...
I think the thing I will really miss are all the wonderful relationships that I have here in the US. That is why it is important for all you fabulous people to come and visit me in wonderful, sunny, traffic free (well except when the cows are in the road) Honduras!
Well as far as updates go on my planning... I have mailed out my fundraising letters. I have a meeting with the missions committee here in Seattle. I will have a meeting with the missions committee in Portland, TBA. I put in my notice at work and my last day is this Friday! I moved out of my apartment and am imposing on my great family friends for the last week that I am in Seattle. Then I start my tour of the US, as I am calling it. I will be headed back to Portland next week for a few days, then off to Texas for Mimi's 80th Birthday, hanging with my bro, Sing Song and playing with all my college buddies. Back to Portland to spend time with family, skiing, and tying up loose ends. Then Honduras here I come! Hopefully I will be in Honduras and settled by the beginning to mid-March. I will be living with Jarrod and Ally in their guest house (it was a hen house... don't let this deter you from visiting though) and taking on my new roles and responsibilities. As it nears I become more and more excited about life and Honduras and the things that God has in store for me! Keep me and my transition in your prayers! Thank goodness God is in control!
