Copan Ruinas, Honduras, America Central
Last weekend we took a short jaunt to the Copan Ruins. 10 hours and 3 busses later we arrive in Copan. Hotel Patty was our home for two nights. We toured the ruins, the tunnels and the museum. The ruins were the best; the tunnels and museums aren't worth the money. We ate an awesome lunch. We walked and shopped and drank coffee. It rained. We mingled with the local hippie population. Honduras tied with Puerto Rico. We people watched.
All in all it was a fabulous weekend and a most excellent start to the onslaught of groups... which by the way, we have three groups here this week, and we are having a blast!

sounds excellent! bus rides, good food, ruins, and then... the 'Honduras tied with Puerto Rico' thing... is that the local hippie population? interesting.
could you please email me the picture of you and davie boy. I need to see that b(n)eard.
I loved Copan. When we were there, our hotel had an awesome veranda on the roof. Tsere was a covered area and we got stuck up there during the most amazing rain and lightening storm of my life. It lasted more than an hour and it poured buckets. But I was with great people and made a memory of a lifetime. We watched the buzzards go roost in a big old tree each night and listened to the tour buses try to make that hill in whatever gear they didn't really have. Enjoy it! DKU
Mom, FYI... the Honduras National Futbol (aka soccer) Team tied with Puerto Rico.
I'm sure that is a thrill for all the kids and adults as well. ¡viva Los Catrachos!
I like the pics of you and David! Also.... I can't wait til I get to see you! Yay!!!!!
