A Splash of Pink

Last weekend one of my best friends from college was married. I got to travel to lovely Odessa, Texas to partake in the event. I packed for summer... because, well, it is summer. When I arrived in Odessa it was a chilly 55 degress! I know I have only been living in Honduras for 3 months, but let me tell you 55 degrees felt like freezing after the heat of Honduras! The wedding was outdoors in Midland. I must admit, I was skeptical when Laura told me that she had found a beautiful outdoor venue. "How could there be anything beautiful in Midland?" I asked. Well I was definately wrong. Laura and Justin found a lovely park next to a muesum to have their wedding and reception. I was worried about melting in the scorching heat of an outdoor wedding, in Texas, during the middle of summer, but again... silly me. It threated to rain all day, and thought it did not rain it sure did try to freeze us out. I am pretty sure that the photographer is going to have to photoshop the goose bumps off of my arms!


The weekend was an absolute blast! I got to visit with good friends and participate in one of the most important events of Laura's life. What a blessing! Plus, I got to wear a splash of pink!
