Well I guess every nurse does it at some point in their career. That's right... I now work the night shift. Honestly, it is not as bad as I thought it would be. It's not that hard to stay up... I mean, it is not like you know you are working nights, you can never see daylight in a hospital anyway. My patients sleep through most of the night, well except when I wake them up to check their blood pressure and pulse and stuff like that, but other than that they sleep pretty well, and there aren't as may doctors around at night, which is nice (no offense to doctors), but on the whole I think I am more of a day shift person. Especially on days like today... Today I came home from work around 8 am, it was cold outside but nice and clear, I ate some breakfast (or I guess you could call it dinner, though it was cereal) and I went to bed. When I woke up I got ready to head out to a bible study and to my surprise it had snowed all day and I had missed it! I mean yes, I got to enjoy the snow being on the ground, but I missed seeing it fall and now it is all melting. I have to say I am a little sad, but it is supposed to snow tomorrow so maybe I will try waking up a little earlier and enjoy the snow!

Yay for snow!!! I want some of that! I enjoyed talking to you yesterday. Have a great day... or night!
Meredith! I had the same experience only when I was working night shift it was snowing and when I got off work it had snowed three inches and I barely knew about it! By now the snow is long gone, but I thought I'd sympathize with you.
